#Lawnfawn Hedgehugs......Part 2

Hi there,
back again with another card using the adorable Hedgehugs stamp set from Lawn Fawn. They have the cutest critter stamps that are so whimsical.

Ok here's the card.I made another card with this stamp that had a whole sponged background. You can see that card HERE.  This time I wanted a quick, clean and simple card that would be easy to mass produce, particularly if you use a Misti.

I stamped the images and sentiment in versa fine black ink, put on some clear embossing powder and heat set it. I then  used coloured textas to colour the images, and once coloured put on a coat of Wink of Stella. I stamped the little hearts in red ink.

Here's a close so you can see the shiny Wink of Stella.....yes my Wink of Stella which is usually most bashful when it comes to being photographed played nicely when photographed today!

That's it for today. Pretty simple and quick. I think I may be a colouring convert! Thanks for stopping by.

Hoping your day is magnificent.

Cheers Donna :)

A Beautiful Day Part 3 - Altenew Ultimate Challenge Blog Hop

Hi there,
back again with another group of cards using my new favourite stamp set A Beautiful Day by Altenew. AND no I'm not sick of it yet, I hope you aren't lol.

I am entering these cards into a Challenge over at Altenew, it's called Altenew's Ultimate Challenge Blog Hop. Do pop over and see what it's all about.

Four beautiful cards in different colours. I have made eight of these. The blue flower is stamped directly onto the card, I masked the flower to stamp the leaves. The other coloured flowers were all fussy cut and stuck over the top of the stamped leaves. It had been my intention to stamp all the flowers directly onto the card....but smudges of ink around the flowers that couldn't be hidden with artfully arranged sequins lol meant I either throw the whole thing out and start again or fussy cut the flowers out and just stamp more leaves. Obviously I went with that option, after all I had stamped the flowers I just couldn't throw them out there was nothing wrong with them!

Aren't they pretty? Which is your favourite colour?

In the next photo you can just see a hint of Wink of Stella on the petals. I coloured over the stamens   with a black sharpie, then went over the black dots of the stamens with glossy accents. I think you can just see the shine of the glossy accents in the photo.

A close up of the stitched border and some more Wink of Stella shine....it's so pretty!

A side view showing the smaller panel was popped up on craft foam to give added dimension.

One last photo of all four cards again.

Do leave a comment to let me know which is your favourite, I'd love to know. Don't forget to pop over to Altenew's Ultimate Challenge Blog Hop.

Have a marvellous day.

Cheers Donna :)

Just Keep Swimming, Just Keep Swimming.....

Hi there,

Back again with another offering, this time with a nautical theme, no teddy bears or flowers in sight......thank goodness I here you sigh!

Beware, though I have a plethora of ideas from pinterest and my mind that feature the stamp set, Seaside Shore from Stampin' Up. So onto today's creation. FYI today's photos do appear a little on the blurred side, not sure what happened there, apologies in advance.

I can't take credit for this creation. Once again the siren call of pinterest had me lost in it's thrall and I came upon THIS card from the lovely Sandy Mott. Click HERE to see the rest of her post featuring  her card and blog, The Scrap n' Stamp Shop. I loved Sandy's card so much that I had to re-create it. I have made a few slight changes.

I used Wink of Stella on my the fish, seaweed and shells and a fine line runs along the top of the sponged sand ridges as well. Wink of Stella is ever so bashful when it comes to photography.  I did manage to get a close up, so you can see that I did actually use it and am not making it up!

I actually made 2 of these cards  for my stash. I think they could be great masculine or children's cards. There is lots of fussy cutting on these cards, but it made for a relaxing afternoon of crafting. It also made me thankful that I don't have to fussy cut everything these days with the advent of coordinating punches and framelits/thinlits....  thank goodness there is a crafting god!

Here is the pair of cards together.

Do pop back later in the week for the next lot of cards using this stamp set.
Cheers Donna :)
